Tiara is a native of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and has a bachelor's degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master's degree from Bowie State University. She is licensed in Washington, D.C. and currently pursuing her doctoral degree in International Psychology, with an intention to bring a culturally inclusive therapeutic experience to populations of color around the world.
Tiara specialize in servicing women and communities of color, within a trauma-centric perspective. As a proud lifelong learner and educator, she enjoys seeing her client's growth and development throughout the therapeutic process.
As a woman of color on the journey to practice psychotherapy, Tiara began to become acutely aware of one thing: She has a responsibility to simply show up authentically and hold space for healing. Tiara found there were a myriad of ways one could "address" a difficulty with which one is faced, but when one is curious enough to simply show up as your full authentic self, something magical is unlocked around you. That very realization is the journey that she hopes each person with whom she meets within the therapeutic setting experiences.
